With an aim to revitalize the Love and affection for Mahatama Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri amongst the students, the Parent’s Pride wing of Central Academy School, Sardarpura on Thursday celebrated their birthday in the school compound.

A Ceremonial lamp was lit to start the Birth anniversary program after which the students garlanded their photographs.

The principal of the wing Mansi Tikku said that the tiny toddlers recited patriotic poems, anthems and songs like Raghu Pati Raghav Raja Ram in the memory of the two legends who had dedicated their lives for their country and paid tribute to them.

Tikku further added that on the occasion a number of kids were dressed like Gandhi and Shastri. Later the kids took a pledge to keep the city clean and green and spread the message amongst the people to not to cut trees. Besides this the kids of KG planted small saplings inside the school premises.

The students were also shown a slide show  based on the life of both the legends which was followed by the distribution of fruits and sweets in the school, Tikku informed.

While speaking on the occasion, Principal of the school threw light on the teachings and inspiring works of the Mahatama and Shastri. She also asked the students to follow the path of truth and non violence and to keep their city clean.
