UdaipurTimes, Sept 14, 2026 - Udaipur’s MB Hospital will now provide round-the-clock services for anti-rabies vaccine and Human Rabies Immune Globulin (HRIG) injections in the Emergency departments of its Trauma and Pediatric Hospital.

The Emergency department will keep a stock of these medicines, under the directives of Medical Superintendent Dr RL Suman, and patients will no longer have to wait until the next day for treatment.

According to the hospital administration, anti-rabies vaccines are administered to approximately 500 to 600 patients every month, while around 200 to 300 patients with severe wounds require HRIG. An average of 25 to 30 cases of dog bites and other animal bites are reported at MB Hospital every day. Around 60% of these patients arrive after 6:00 p.m. or on holidays.
