The makers of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups have released the first song, Tabaahi, featuring Yash and Kiara Advani. While the romantic track has generated buzz ahead of the film's release, social media users have shared mixed reactions over the song and the lead pair's chemistry.
July 09, 2026: The makers of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, starring Yash, have released the film's first song, Tabaahi. The romantic track introduces Yash and Kiara Advani's fresh on-screen pairing, giving fans a glimpse of their chemistry ahead of the film's theatrical release.
According to the makers, Tabaahi celebrates an unforgettable romance through the lead pair's emotionally charged performances. The music video portrays a love story that is intimate, unwavering, and deeply passionate. The song has been composed and sung by Vishal Mishra, with Hindi lyrics by Raj Shekhar. It has also been released in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam, with lyrics adapted by Yogaraj Bhat, Ramajogayya Sastry, Vignesh Shivan, and Rafeeq Ahammed, respectively.
Sharing his thoughts on the song, Vishal Mishra said, "Tabaahi isn't a conventional love song. It is about love as surrender and intensity. Toxic demanded music that could be both epic and intimate. Yash brings a rare conviction to the screen, and I wanted the music to match that emotion. For me, Tabaahi captures the raw and unfiltered pulse of love that consumes before it comforts."

'Tabaahi' receives mixed reactions from fans
While the song has generated significant buzz online, audience reactions have been divided. Soon after its release, several social media users praised the visuals, while others questioned the chemistry between Yash and Kiara Advani.
One user commented, "These straight-up trash lyrics are weak, the song is disappointing, and the video looks painfully uninspired." Another wrote, "It felt flat. Both actors have no chemistry, and the song lacks personality." A third user remarked, "They just look awkward together, and there's no chemistry." Another viewer added, "It felt like an attempt to recreate the feel of classic romantic songs, but it missed the mark. Overall, it is an average track."
