In an accident that occurred after midnight of 26^th April, a speeding car crashed into a hutment on the roadside killing one elderly man and injuring two others including a 6-year-old girl.

The incident occurred near Ashwin Vatika, on Fatehpura-Bhuwana road when an Innova car coming from Bhuwana went out of control and crashed into the hut.

Victims Mangilal (60), Sohanlal (40) and Monika (6) were sleeping outside their dwelling when the car hit them. While Mangilal died soon after being admitted to hospital, Sohanlal and Monika have received injuries though their conditions are said to be stable.

The car has been seized by Ambamata Police; however, the driver ran away from the scene.

All victims are relatives and belong to the Gadulia Lohar tribe. There are nearly half a dozen families’ that live on the road side in the temporary huts at Fatehpura.

One similar road accident was also reported here in the past when a young girl was run over by a truck while she was playing with other children.
