13 Prisoners of Udaipur set Free

13 convicted prisoners who were lodged in Udaipur Central Jail were set free today under the direction of State Government on the occasion of Dayanand Saraswati Jayanti.

13 convicted prisoners who were lodged in Udaipur Central Jail were set free today under the direction of State Government on the occasion of Dayanand Saraswati Jayanti.

One each from Pratapgarh and Banswara Central Jail were also set free today, making a total of 15 prisoners from Udaipur zone.

Superintendent of Udaipur Central Jail, Kailash Trivedi informed, “The prisoners are selected on several factors. One of the main conditions is age and health, other conditions include, those who have no series of crimes registered against them and who were known for their good conduct in jail.”

“There are many other norms like prisoners who have been lodged in jail for 13.4 years, or who are consistently facing medical problems, those who are above 70 years of age and those who have completed 4 years commission” added Kailash Trivedi.

The order of release came from state government under the direction of Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje.
