15 Child Marriage complaints received, No case registered
On the occasion of Aakha Teej, after receiving 15 complaints from Udaipur and its nearby villages, respective parents were ordered not to organize child marriages, although no case has been registered against any of them.

On the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, people in Udaipur and its nearby village were instructed not to organize Child Marriages and were asked to be vigil about any such happenings in their locality.
Although, no cases were registered, but complaints of child marriages came in light from Salombar (4), Vallabh Nagar (5), Sarada (2)and Udaipur-Rural (4).
“Child & Women Welfare Department officials went to the scenes and verified the age of brides and grooms. Where needed, they also conversed with the parents and convinced them to get their children married once they reach the legal age,” informed Rashmi Kushik, Nodal Officer.
“Surprisingly, department also received few fake complaints of child marriage,” said Rashmi Kuashik.
