In the campagin of prohibiting the plastic bags in the city, the officials raided more than two dozen shops in the city. The team consisting of officials of Municipal Council, Pollution Control Board and Girwa Administration Department did a sudden check at various shops and outlets in Udaipur.

This joint association raid resulted in a shocking analysis as a total of 3 quintal plastic was taken in custody from more than 16 shops.

5 shops at Hathipol, 3 Shops at Fatehpura Circle, 1 Shop in Panchratna Area, all shops near Delhi Gate control room and few shops of Panchwati were raided. 42 kg of plastic bags were found in shops of Panchwati area, and significant amount of the same was found in shops at Delhi Gate.

Pushpendra Singh Shekhawat, SDM, Udaipur lead the task and said, “This task is being carried out under the direct orders from State government and we will continue this task more frequently now.”
