A speeding truck hit a pick-up van while it was stationary and the passenger were getting off on the side of a road. Six people were critically injured in this accident, which happened this morning at Tidi, 35 km from Udaipur. In all, over ten people have been reportedly injured in this unfortunate incident where the van swirled up in the air and crashed down into a nearby field. According to Highway Ambulance Service officials who responded to the site of the accident, it was when a passenger vehicle ‘TATA Winger’ was parked on a side of road and passengers were coming out, that a truck coming from the opposite side eventually lost control and smashed into the van which had passengers stepping off as well as some passengers sitting within. The collision was so high that the van swirled in the air and fell into a field nearby. Six of the victims, which include three women, were rushed to MB Hospital and their condition was stated to be critical, while ten other people have received minimum injuries.
