A 9-year-old boy got injured after he was allegedly assaulted by a school teacher during school assembly.
The teacher has denied allegations and said, “I just held his hand and made him sit forcefully as he was mischievous during prayers.”
The incident took place yesterday at Government Higher Secondary School, Khempura. Pratap Nagar police has lodged the report against teacher and started investigation.
According to Bhagwati Prasad Yadav, his 9-year-old son Gajendra is studying in class Ist and is physically challenged (boy cannot hear and speak). As per the report given by Bhagwati Prasad, the school’s Physical Instructor Kailash Meena flung his son twice in the air which dislocated one of his hand.
However Kailash Meena said that the child was doing mischief during school assembly, so he reprimanded him verbally and made him sit by holding his hand.
School principal, Chandrakala Sharma also defended the teacher and said, “Sometimes we have to scold children to teach them discipline”.
Principal added, “The child is handicapped and should go to special school where more facilities are available, but the parents are neglecting. Secondly, the child is not punctual to school and is very mischievous.”
Police asked the applicant to do medical test of child. The action will be taken against the accused on the basis of medical report.
