Anti Corruption Bureau of Udaipur seized two buildings today which were constructed illegally. Both building were permitted for residential construction but the owners constructed them for commercial purposes.

One of the buildings seized by the ACB was at Sunderwass area which was previously run by the owner as a school named as Gyan Chetna School but later the owner closed it and applied for constructing a residential building of 2 floors including ground floor.

Owner, Shambhu Lal Dahakad applied at UMC for the construction in December 2012. Few months later, he got the permission but instead of constructing the building as per permission, the owner built it as a commercial building.

On getting the information, ACB raided the building and seized it. Along with the officials of ACB, Engineers of Housing board department and Nagar Nigam also went to the scene to verify the situation, as per C.I, ACB, Harish Kumar.

C.I., Anti Corruption also added that his team raided another multistory building at Reti Stand, Avri Mata Kacchi Basti area of Udaipur which was illegally constructed.

The building owner was permitted by the concerned department for constructing 3 floors including the ground floor but instead the building was constructed as 4 story building.

As the building was constructed in an 8 foot lane, it was found illegal as per the norms and was seized today by ACB.
