Bar Association members boycotted all official work today to protest police action against advocates and criticized the statement over High Court Bench in Udaipur given by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot upon his arrival yesterday.

According to media reports, Gehlot stated that the demand of High Court Bench in Udaipur is a rumor created by someone which indicated that the High Court Bench in Udaipur will remain without a solution for coming years.

Advocates were also discontented over the incident yesterday in which police used mild force to disperse the protesting advocates outside MB Hospital.

The movement of demanding High Court Bench in Udaipur gained momentum last month when all local communities, political parties and other groups of the city also came forward to support the cause.

A protest rally will be organized tomorrow on 6th Sept and advocates will abstain from all official work.
