Udaipur Builders Association presented memorandum to the district Collector of Udaipur and demanded immediate action on the ongoing ban on Sand Gravel Mining which has caused discontinuation of construction work.

Several problems of financial loss has erupted due the ban, hundreds and thousands of labours got unemployed, several government, non government and commercial construction projects have been stopped which has also caused heavy revenue loss to the government.

Shyam Gupta, Chief Patron of the association said that, “Due to the ban, the construction industry is facing the loss of Rs. 1000 crore.”

According to the memorandum, the builders association has demanded the middle way where the environment loss could be saved and at the same time they can get sand and gravel which are the important part of construction.

Gupta also said that the ban is causing unemployment among labourers who are now forced to take illegal method to earn their bread.
