City’s members of CPI (M) party held a protest against India’s visit of the US President Barack Obama at Delhi gate circle at 1 PM. The members organized a human chain and burned the effigy of the President.
Secretary Mohanlal Khokhawat said that the visit of the US President to India is a means for the centralized BJP government to introduce FDI in the country which is against the policy of non-alignment. This step along with the stipulated policies and laws would create instability in the nation. This is the reason for the protest.
A strong statement was passed by the party member K.R. Siddiqi who said that America is providing shelter to terrorism in the world.
Group’s members Munawar Kha, Habib Jama Kha, Ibrahim Kharodi, Javed Khan, corporator Rajendra Vasita, Ranjeet Singh, Farukh Qureshi, D.K Chaubisa of Insurance Union and Dinesh Bharti etc gave strong slogans against the Imperialist US.
