The body of a middle aged man was found in Fatehsagar Lake at 10:00 in the morning today. The person was later identified as Gufraan Rashid, a resident of Madri Industrial Area.

Gufraan was said to be under depression and was missing since yesterday after he went out of his house without informing anyone. The report was then lodged by his relatives at Pratap Nagar Police Station yesterday evening.

Today, on the basis of doubt, Police called the relatives of Gufraan for the identification of the body. After the affirmation of the relatives, postmortem was conducted and then the body was handed over to the family.

Gufraan was originally from Fatehnagar, UP and had been living with his relative Mohd Hashim at Madri Industrial Area for past 12 years. He used to work in a Casting & Molding Workshop at Madri Industrial Area.
