Body of a newly born baby girl was found lying near Lake Swaroop Sagar today. The body was shifted to mortuary.

Prima facie it appears that the baby, fully developed, might have been born dead. The baby, wrapped in red cloth, was left abandoned by unknown person. A passerby noticed the baby at 9 am and informed police.

Police has started the investigation.
