Dewas Tunnel employee killed in a mishap
A 26-year-old man working as a dumper driver at Dewas Tunnel died in an accident that occurred early this morning, while he was trying to repair the dumper and it accidently overran him, killing him on the spot .
According to the Nai police station, Govind Singh s/o Bhagru Singh was from Jharkhand and working as a dumper driver at the Dewas tunnel from last 3 years.

According to the Nai police station, Govind Singh s/o Bhagru Singh was from Jharkhand and working as a dumper driver at the Dewas tunnel from last 3 years.
The accident occurred today morning at around 4, when Govind was trying to repair the dumper. The vehicle moved back crushing Govind’s head, which resulted in his immediate death. The body was taken to M.B hospital and kept in the mortuary.
According to ASI of Nai Police, Ram Lal, who informed UT, when Govind failed to start his vehicle, he step down to check the wires but forgot to bring the dumper to neutral. As soon as he joined the wires, the vehicle moved into reverse.
Later, the accident was noticed by his co-workers who informed police. His family was given Rs. 50,000 as compensation from his employer. After the postmortem Govind’s body was sent to Jharkhand.
