A 16 year old student of Delhi Public School, Udaipur committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his room.

The shocking incident occurred yesterday afternoon at his residence in New Flora Complex, Bhuwana where he was staying with his grandfather, as his parents were in Kerala.

10 days ago, his brother had come to Udaipur to visit him. Yesterday afternoon, the two brothers were having lunch with their grandfather at their residence and after lunch, the deceased retired to his room for studies.

After a while, when his brother called out for him, he did not respond. Both brother and grandfather forced the door of his room open and found him hanging from the ceiling.

The boy was rushed to hospital, but was declared dead at hospital. The postmortem was conducted and the body was handed over to family.

Police will be investigating the case further, as the reason for suicide was not clear.
