An allegedly drunk army man shocked motorists by standing in the middle of the road, and obstructed the traffic flow for nearly half an hour near a bus stop opposite the office of Collector today afternoon.

The Jawan was identified as Raam Singh from 5^th Rajputana Rifles and resident of Neem ka Thana. He was waiting for bus but when he came to know that his mobile phone is missing, he started shouting and tried to stop all the vehicles.

This created traffic congestion at the busy road going towards court chouraha. Police officials posted at the nearby chowki responded to the situation and detained the Jawan. He was taken to Hathipol Police station and authority from military was informed about the mishap.

The Jawan was later taken into custody by military officials.

“His phone might have got stolen and he was not in the state of consciousness”, said a police constable on a condition of anonymity.
