In a shocking incident that occurred today at Pratapgarh, four people consisting of a man, his wife and two children were found in an unconscious state.

Later, the man identified as Vinod Bhatnagar and his son Varun were declared dead, while Vinod’s wife Pratibha and her underage daughter Pari were admitted to the ICU ward of MB Hospital.

According to sources, the family has allegedly consumed poisonous substances and were found lying in an unconscious state at Gautam Nagar, Banswara Road.

The deceased, Vinod Bhatnagar was working as a conductor in Roadways Bus Service and took a break from his job since last few days.

Vinod Bhatnagar originally hails from Udaipur’s Gogawatwadi near Gangaur Ghat and was presently residing in Bahubali Nagar, Banswara Road.

In a semi-conscious state, Pratibha and her daughter informed doctors attending them that the whole family went to Sita Mata Fair last night and after consuming something they all fell unconscious. Nothing further has come to light since the surviving victims are still under medical care.
