Shop owners in the Chandpol Bridge area were in for a rude shock, when they found a three month old fetus abandoned near the Ghat area.

The local shopkeepers of the area saw the fetus in the morning, and informed Police. Though the gender is not yet confirmed; but it was observed that few of the body parts were not fully developed. The age is speculated to be around 2-3 months.

The body was wrapped in a cloth. Onlookers gathered in the area, causing a traffic jam.

Ambamata Police shifted the body to the mortuary and is looking into the case.
