A dead fetus has been found lying in the campus of Rabindra Nath Tagore Medical College today morning. The fetus was found near the statue of Rabindra Nath Tagore and was partially mutilated by stray dogs.
According to the watchman of the campus, he saw a group of stray dogs entering the campus lobby, carrying in their jaws what looked like a piece of flesh.
The watchman scared away the dogs with a stick; and dropping the piece of flesh, dogs fled. On closely checking it, he observed that it was a dead fetus. The watchman immediately informed police.
When checked with the RNT college authority, the PA to the Principal of the Medical College has pleaded ignorance on the matter.
Currently, the status stands that except for the watchman and the sweeper team, no one is aware nor confirming the incident. Who dropped the fetus, where it was dropped and in what condition, is still a mystery.
Corrections: The gender of the fetus is not confirmed, we apologies for writing ‘female’ in the news. Although we have strong proof of the news published about the fetus.
We(UT) tried to reach, Police, College Administration and MB Hospital Administration but no authority has confirmed the incident.
