The relatives of a deceased man, who was undergoing treatment at Mewar Hospital lodged an FIR against the management of the hospital, allegedly accusing them of negligence which led to the death of the patient.

Dani Sharma,a 35 year old carpenter was shifted to Mewar Hospital due to numbness in his right leg. Upon check-up it was found that one of his veins at the back of his spinal cord was getting suppressed. Technically, labeled as a minor problem, the doctors prepared for his operation, informed by Sharavan (21), his nephew.

He added that Dani was taken in OT at around 3 PM but by evening 6.30 PM, there was no response from the doctors. Later, the doctors informed about his death during treatment at 9 PM. The relatives suspected the negligence of the doctors to be the reason of Dani’s demise.

SHO of Sukher police station Harindra Singh informed that the family members have reported an FIR against the alleged negligence of the hospital management as the reason of Dani Sharma’s death. He also added that the Medical Board has conducted the postmortem after the report of which, the decision will be taken.  The body has been handed over to the family.

The relatives reached the collectorate’s office and presented a memorandum stating the issue, demanding strict actions against the hospital. SHO informed that the investigation of the matter is in process.

Upon trying to contact the administration of the hospital for the concerned issue several times, no communication could be established.
