Bedla Residents will now get across the neighborhood easily after the only road-link to the city – Bedla Bridge is constructed and inaugurated today by Dr. Girija Vyas, Minister of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation.

Top administrative officers and political leaders were present on the occasion. Locals of the area welcomed Dr. Girija Vyas and expressed their gratitude in easing their life.

The bridge was the only source linked directly to the city and due to its brittle condition, people were suffering since long.

UIT Chairman Roopkumar Khurana, UIT Secretary R.P Sharma and political leaders Raghuveer Singh Meena and Pushkar Dangi were present on the occasion.

Grija Vayas also spoke on the ongoing scheme of making Udaipur a ‘Slum Free City’ and informed about the strategy to achieve the same, comprising of affordable housing policy.

In her short address, Dr. Girija informed about government’s beneficiary schemes and future development plans.
