Haj 2026: Haj Committee of India Extends Last Date for Applications to August 7, 2025
Vijayawada has also been added as an embarkation point to the earlier 17 embarkation points for Haj 2026
Udaipur, July 31, 2025: The Hajj Committee of India has extended the deadline for accepting applications from pilgrims desiring to perform Haj in 2026. As per the notification from the HCoI, the online application window for Haj 2026 will remain open till 11:59pm on August 07, 2025. This has been done due to request from all State Haj Committees, especially from under-quota states and due to the processes related to passport renewals.
The online application form is available on the official website of the Haj Committee of India, https://www.hajcommittee.gov.in/. Applications can also be done through the Haj Suvidha App, which is available for both Android and iPhone users.
Applicants are advised to read the guidelines and undertaking thoroughly before beginning their application process. As per the directives, it is mandatory to possess a machine-readable Indian Passport, issued on or before the application date, valid till at least 31 December 2026.
No Further Extensions
The HCoI has, in its circular to this effect, stated that there will be NO FURTHER extensions under any circumstances. The notification also mentions that after the last date of submission, the selected pilgrims as per the Qurrah will need to deposit their first installment of Rs. 1,52,300/- by August 20, 2025.

Instructions for timely submission
The HCoI has advised that all intending pilgrims should submit their applications well in time and not wait till the last moment, to avoid last minute issues such as server congestion, verification delays and other unforeseen issues. HCoI has advised all the State Haj Committees from under-quota states to make all possible efforts to improve application numbers. They have been asked to target awareness campaigns, coordination with religious and community organisations and facilitation of applications from the passport application stage through the final HAF submission.
Additional Embarkation
In an addendum on July 30, the HCoI has intimated that Vijayawada will be included as an embarkation point for Haj 2026. So there will be a total of 18 embarkation points from India.
