Hindustan Zinc engineer dies in road accident
A 25 year old Engineer died after being fatally injured when his bike collided with a car at Dariba, near Hindustan Zinc smelter last night of 5th March around 10 pm. Rajat Kishore S/o Kishore Kumar from Varanasi was working in the Lead Smelter plant of Hindustan Zinc Smelter as an Instrument Engineer. He was a pillion on the bike that was being driven by his colleague Abhinav Singh, when the accident occurred, while they were on the way to their hostel.

Rajat Kishore S/o Kishore Kumar from Varanasi was working in the Lead Smelter plant of Hindustan Zinc Smelter as an Instrument Engineer. He was a pillion on the bike that was being driven by his colleague Abhinav Singh, when the accident occurred, while they were on the way to their hostel.
Both of them were taken to the GBH American Hospital after receiving life threatening injuries. Rajat was declared dead today morning by the doctors.
Kailash Chandra, Head Constable of Dariba Chowki informed UT, ‘Rajat, with one of his colleague was returning from a nearby restaurant after having dinner, and got seriously injured when a car (RJ-09-CA-2131) hit their bike and fled.
“The police was informed by people present on the spot at 10:15 pm,” said Kailash Chandra.
According to sources, Rajat was working at the Smelter plant, Udaipur from the last 2 months and lives in the hostel at Dariba.
As per the police, Abhinav is still under observation at the hospital.
Rajat’s body was kept at the mortuary for postmortem and his family members were informed about the incident.
A hunt has been initiated by the police to find the car.
