Retired employees of the RSMM (Rajasthan State Mines and Minerals) Udaipur have demanded and increase in their monthly pension in addition to several other demands including medical facilities and job opportunities for their family members.

Scores of retired workers of RSMM under the banner of Retired Employees Association gathered at the Mohta Park to hold a common meeting on discussing various issues and handed over a Memorandum in the name of the Chief Minister of the state demanding various perks and facilities.

Out of the many demands listed in the memorandum, the workers mainly insisted on providing full medical services to all the retired personnel. It was also demanded to increase the monthly pension amount by at least Rs. 10,000 and job opportunities to aspiring family members of the retired employees.

They also said that many a times they requested the administration to take note of their needs but any fruitful decision has yet to come forth.

When UT reached the Managing Director of RSMM Ajitabh Sharma and asked about the issue, he said, “I have no information regarding the Memorandum or problems raised by the retired workers. The action can only be initiated if the copy of memorandum reaches me”.
