A short circuit resulted in electric appliances at many houses in Khempura getting burnt and this was followed by a loss of power in the area, which resulted in a dark night for the residents of the area.

This annoyed the residents and the situation was controlled after the RSEB officials assured them of suitable compensation.

Last night, a live wire from a street lamp fell through on a LT High Voltage line, causing the short circuit. The officials of the RSEB were immediately informed and the lines were repaired, but still many houses of the area did not receive power supply, while many of the residents discovered that the short circuit resulted in many of their appliances getting burnt.

Girish Marival, RSEB said that, “The residents who faced the loss of equipment have been assured of suitable compensation”.
