Labourer Dies after Falling into 10ft deep Pit
In a tragic accident today, a labour fell to his death in a drainage pit at Sector-14. The deceased, Roshan Odh, resident of Mukherjee Chowk was removing water from the road when he suddenly fell into a 10 feet deep pit; the work was going on under PWD.

The next of kin and friends of the victim have blamed PWD for alleged negligence and lack of security for the laborers working under them.
According to the sources, Roshan Odh was removing water with the help of a draining machine. Suddenly he lost control and fell into the 10 feet deep pit full of water and drowned in it. However, nothing is clearly known where the other labourers were when the accident occurred and why the victim was not rescued.
Family members of Roshan are expected to lodge a police complaint against PWD for their alleged negligence, which caused the life a labourer.
