New AEN Subdivision to Boost Power Supply in Bhuvana-Sukher Suburbs

Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma announces new electricity subdivision in Bhuwana, 20 town planning schemes for Udaipur, road, stadium, GSS and temple development projects in revised budget

Udaipur, Feb 28, 2026 - A long-pending demand of city dwellers to improve power situation in the suburban regions of the city, particularly the Bhuvana-Sukher areas, has finally been met. A new electricity AEN Office Subdivision in Bhuvana will be set up for power supply arrangements in these large suburban areas. This announcement was made by Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma in the revised budget on Friday (February 27).

The electricity supply management in the city has so far remained under the Ashok Nagar and Madhuban subdivisions. With the opening of a new AEN Office Subdivision in Bhuvana, power supply arrangements in the large suburban areas, which are fast expanding, are expected to improve significantly.

Additionally, 20 town planning schemes were announced by the Chief Minister for divisional headquarters under which Udaipur will also receive a town planning scheme. These are:

  • Construction of an anicut in Thoor (Badgaon) at a cost of Rs 1.27 crore.
  • Road widening and strengthening work worth Rs 12 crore from National Highway 162A (Mavli) to Dharta via Ladana Khempura (9 km stretch).
  • Construction of a 33/11 KV GSS in Bachhar village.
  • Construction of a sports stadium in Mavli at a cost of Rs 2 crore.
  • Upgradation of Ladani (Mavli) Veterinary Sub-Centre into a full Veterinary Hospital.
  • Development and public facility works at Ramkunda Mahadev Temple in Pilak, Jhadol.
