Frustrated over a prolong illness, a 56-year-old man tried to commit suicide by slitting his own throat using a kitchen knife. However,the victim was saved after incessant efforts by doctors of MB Hospital.

Abdul Ghani Khan, the resident of Ayad used to work as a room cooler repairer and was suffering from poor health from long time. According to the sources Ghani Khan took a kitchen knife in the morning and cut his throat. Later on he was rushed to the hospital by his relatives.

As per the sources, he was admitted in the hospital in serious condition and had rare chances to survive. A team of doctors conducted his operation which continued for several hours and finally the victim has been declared out of danger.

He has been kept under observation at the hospital at Surgical Emergency Unit.
