MG students give memorandum to CM

Govt. Meera Girls’ College students gave a memorandum to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot requesting to start regular postgraduate courses in Psychology and Home Science.

The memorandum was written by Chanda Kumavat (President) and Priyanka Chaudhray (Vice-President) of the Student Union and signed by scores of students who are interested in the concerned subjects. They demanded for regular courses in Psychology (M.A., M.Sc.) and Home Science (M.A.).

These courses are available self-funded (private) right now. Most of the students belong to low/medium income families and due to high fees, they are not able to apply. They reasoned that every year 95% of the students pass with flying colors and it’s a favorite subject among many.

They added that these subjects help them in their personality development. 50% of the students are from tribal areas who cannot afford such high fees and other miscellaneous costs, and hence they are not able to pursue their field of interest.

They requested the CM to consider their demand and make the courses regular as soon as possible
