5:00 pm: Thousands have gathered in Tehran for the funerals of several senior Iranian commanders killed in recent US-Israeli strikes.
Israel’s military said that it had launched a new “wide-scale wave of strikes” across Iran and was also targeting Hezbollah infrastructure in Beirut, the Lebanese capital.
Iran says it had targeted several Israeli military sites, including the military intelligence directorate, a naval base in the northern port city of Haifa and a radar system.
Dutch airlines KLM says it has cancelled all flights to Dubai until March 28.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured of 24x7 assistance to citizens still stuck in the Gulf region; says “Won't leave them stranded”.
Iranian Red Crescent Society has said that almost 20,000 civilian buildings across Iran have suffered damage during the ongoing conflict with the Israeli-US forces.
Iranian media is reporting bombing in some areas in western and eastern Tehran as well as sound of jets flying over the capital.
Twenty crew members were rescued from the Thai cargo ship struck by unknown projectiles in the Strait of Hormuz. Three crew members remain missing. Thai navy says its providing urgent assistance.
2:00 pm: Ten people were killed and five wounded in an Israeli air strike on a building in Lebanon’s eastern Baalbek district, say reports. Three people were killed in an Israeli drone strike on an SUV in the Saf al-Hawa area of Bint Jbeil in Lebanon.
Iran says it might target “economic centres and banks” related to US and Israeli entities “in the region” in retaliation to an “attack on an Iranian bank”.
Four people were injured after two drones fell near Dubai airport causing “minor injuries to two Ghanaian nationals and one Bangladeshi national, and moderate injuries to one Indian national.”
Iran has no intention of entering into conflict with countries in the region, says Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, according to Iran media.
12:00 pm: The West Asia war enters the 12th day even as casualty figures continue to rise with Iran reporting as many as 1,3000 civilians death since the war began on February 28. Israel-US forces are said to have bombed nearly 10,000 civilian sites in Iran, according to Iranian reports.
At least nine people were reported killed in the US-Israeli attacks on the city of Aligudarz on Wednesday (March 11).
US President Donald Trump has threatened grave consequences if oil flows through the Strait of Hormuz are disrupted. The Strait is a key route for the supply of about one-fifth of all crude oil and provides the only sea passage from the Persian Gulf to the open ocean.
A cargo vessel was hit in the Strait of Hormuz by an unknown projectile. The UK Maritime Trade Operations says the ship was set ablaze and the crew is evacuating and has requested assistance.
Iran has begun laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz with a few dozen having been laid in recent days, say sources. The US President has said in a message on his social media platform that "if Iran has put out any mines in the Hormuz Strait, and we have no reports of them doing so, we want them removed, IMMEDIATELY!”
Iran retalates vowing it will not allow “one liter of oil” to leave the Middle East until US-Israeli attacks cease. A top Iranian official warns Trump to be careful not to be “eliminated” himself.
The Kuwaiti National Guard has said it shot down eight drones as “part of the ongoing efforts to enhance security, protect vital sites, and confront any potential threats”.
Saudi Arabia claims to have shot down seven drones targeting the vital Shaybah oilfield near the UAE border.
Dozens, including children, were wounded in Sitra near Manama (Bahrain) with a fire breaking out at a Ma’ameer facility after a drone strike by iran.
Several major explosions were reported in Qatar while the UAE’s air defences intercepted missiles and drones from Iran.
The US Central Command has said the US military had destroyed multiple Iranian naval ships near the Strait of Hormuz. This includes 16 minelayers.
