A minor boy died after getting stuck to an electricity pole today afternoon. The incident took place when the child was playing outside his house. The boy died on the spot.

Madhav s/o Sunil Meena, 4, resident of Gusia colony Street no. 5, was playing outside his house with other children. While playing outside, he came in contact with an electricity pole and was stuck to it. The intensity of the electric current that passed through him was so strong that the child could not even scream and died on the spot. The neighbors tried their best to save him but could not save him as his body had become motionless and cold.

The victim was staying with his father, a painter, at Gusia Colony. After the incident, the local people informed Madhav’s father about the mishap. Body of the deceased child has been shifted to mortuary, informed police.

According to the local residents of the area, the problem of the electricity shock is very common in their area and often goats and stray dogs have been found stuck to the poles.

The local residents also informed that they have raised the issue many a times with the administration and related departments but being a slum area no action has been taken yet by administration.
