Two groups of people, belonging to separate communities have lodged FIRs against each other, both accusing the other of physical assault.

According to the Ambamata Police, a very minor scuffle between a group of boys playing with each other at the Mastaan Baba Colony led to this sorry episode.

As per the complain lodged by Onkaar Oar, resident of Mastaan Baba Colony, hisson was playing cricket with his friends, when a boy from another group of children teased him. When Onkaars son objected, the other boy started beating him.  The boy ran towards his house but was followed in pursuit by the assailants.

Seeing this, Onkaars daughter and brother Lala came out of the house,.  During the scuffle that followed, both, Onkaars daughter and brother were injured.

After a few minutes the situation got out of hand and 200-300 people of the Oar community gathered in front of the police station to condemn the incident and protested there. Assessing the situation to be sensitive, the SP, Hariprasad Sharma, along with DySP Anant Kumar rushed to the Ambamata police station with extra police force and controlled the situation.

The officers took a written report from the community members and assured proper action against the accused.

Onkaar has given a report against a resident of Mastaan Baba Colony named as Hasa Khan and 5-6 other associates for  beating his son.  A few minutes later, a counter report against Onkaar Oar was registered from Hasa Khan’s side with the same allegation, informed police.

Once information leaked, BJP party workers including Dinesh Bhatt reached the police station.

The Police have started the investigation of the case on the basis of the report of both the sides.
