The escalating tensions between the non teaching staff of MLSU and the university administration ended after a negotiation between both groups.

Over 100 non-teaching staff who were on the extent of losing their jobs, could continue working on same position for one more year. MLSU administration has extended the time period after consulting with the group.

For last few months, the staff was protesting against MLSU for not giving them privilege of permanent employees, withdrawing pensions of retired staff and asking employees to step down from job till 31^st Dec.

On Dec 14^th, a group of non teaching staff violently protested outside Vice Chancellor’s chamber and demanded to resolve their issues. The final decision came after a high level meeting held in direction of Vice Chancellor I.V. Trivedi.
