MP Sports Festival: Competitions in 11 Events from Dec 3 to 10
Eleven sports including kabaddi, cricket and archery to be organised; instructions issued by MP Dr Mannalal Rawat to all involved
Udaipur, Dec 3, 2025 - The second phase of the MP Sports Festival, scheduled from December 3 in Udaipur and Salumbar districts, will continue until December 10 under the direction of MP Dr Mannalal Rawat. During this period, competitions in 11 sports will be organised at the mandal and block levels.
The District Education Officer (Headquarters) has issued instructions to all concerned officials regarding the event.
MP Rawat informed that under the second phase, a total of 11 sports disciplines — kabaddi, lemon spoon race, tug of war, archery, 50m race (senior citizens), 100m race, cricket, volleyball, football, badminton, 4×100m relay — will be conducted. He said that in the first phase, the winners of competitions held at the Gram Panchayat and Ward levels, and teams of those sports that were not conducted earlier will be registered offline for participation.
Cricket competitions will be held using tennis balls in a 10-over knockout format. All other sports will be played according to the Education Department’s sports rulebook, with necessary amendments to the rules made jointly by the Mandal president, Mandal Sports Coordinator, Physical Education Teachers and members of the organising committee.
Instructions have been issued to the Chief Block Education Officers (CBEOs) and Samagra Shiksha officials of Girwa, Gogunda, Jhadol, Kherwara, Rishabhdev, Sayra, Falasiya, Badgaon, Kotda and Nayagaon blocks of Udaipur district. Similar directions have been issued in Salumbar district as well.
