New machines at MB Hospital Lab to aid patients
The free medical check-up scheme introduced by former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will get enhanced as two fully automatic analyzing machines have been set at Bio Chemistry Department of the Central Lab at MB Hospital.
The free medical check-up scheme introduced by former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will get enhanced as two fully automatic analyzing machines have been set at Bio Chemistry Department of the Central Lab at MB Hospital.
Dr. A.K Verma, Nodal Officer, CM Free Medical Checkup Scheme said, “The special feature of these machines are that it can examine 800 to 1000 samples in one hour which will ease the work and ultimately help patients to get accurate report in less time. Each machine costs around Rs.19.17 lacs and installation will start from coming week.”
These machines are fully automatic and need a 15-days special training for the staff to operate. It will also cut down the technical staff of Central Lab which will be utilized in other departments where staff is less.
Under the free checkup scheme, 28 different types of health checkups are conducted at the central lab. Generally it takes more than a day for patients to get their reports done. After installation of the machine, it is expected that the work will become much easier for both staff and patients.
