An overhang of a shop collapsed last night killing a 5-year old and leaving 3 others injured. The incident occurred last night outside a shop near Gandhi Ground last night. A family of four was sleeping outside the shop when the overhang collapsed and led to the tragic incident.

The deceased kid was identified as Husain alias Karan. He was sleeping outside shops adjacent to Gandhi Ground with his parents Mitthu Lal and Tulsi and Grandmother Jamko Bai, all from Khamnour, and engaged in  labour work in Udaipur.

At around 2:30am, the cement overhang of the shop suddenly gave way injuring everyone in the family.

Hathipol Police shifted all injured to the hospital. Karan, however, passed away during treatment.
