A 26 year old woman died after she jumped off from the roof of Geetanjali Hospital today. She was bought there by her relatives on 26/07/13 for treatment as she was mentally disturbed since last few days.

Laxman Meena, elder brother of the deceased woman, informed that his sister was married at Rohval village of Banswara 3 months ago. Her husband, Ramesh Meena, is studying in second year of his Bachelor degree course at Banswara. She was staying at her parents’ house since last 10-15 days as she was not feeling mentally fit. Her relatives, after trying their best to improve her condition, bought her to Udaipur for treatment on 26/07/13.

The lady was admitted in the Female medical ward situated on the 4th floor of the hospital, informed Laxman.

Laxman said that today when he went to toilet, his sister suddenly climbed up the roof of the hospital. When he came to know of this,he rushed behind her but could not prevent her from jumping off the roof (4th floor of the hospital). She was rushed to the emergency ward of the hospital where she was declared dead by the doctors.

The lady was a graduate (B.A) and was recently married. She also had a cordial relationship with her in-laws and there were no issues in her marital life, said Laxman.

On getting the information, Police team headed by Dy SP Dayanand Saran reached the spot and carried out their initial investigations. Reason of suicide is still not clear.
