Pilgrims proceed to Sammed Shikar
A group of senior citizens departed today for the Sammed Shikhar, a Jain pilgrimage in Jharkhand for 6 day pilgirmage. 431 people from Udaipur division took part in the pilgrimage organized by Rajasthan Government in alliance with Devsthan Department.

The special train of the pilgrims departed at 12 in the afternoon from Udaipur Railway Station. The journey will be concluded on 30th Aug.
Radhe Shyam, Assistant Commissioner, Devsthan Department informed that there are around 239 passengers from Ajmer, 274 people from Jaipur and 19 from Bharatpur.
Radheshyam told UT that there is a staff including nursing staff, security guard, train in charge and other assistant to ensure safety of pilgrims
The whole pilgrimage is free of cost and is an initiative of Rajasthan Government. This is the 8th train from Rajasthan and 2nd Train from Udaipur. On 1st Sept, another group of pilgrims will depart to Vaishnodevi.
Members of congress party and representatives of senior citizen groups came to railway station to see off the pilgrims.
