PM Modi Unveils Rs 35,000 Cr Projects in Gujarat
'From chips to ships, India is now building a new manufacturing future', Prime Minister Narendra Modi said
Sept 8, 2026 - Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stones, inaugurated and dedicated to the Nation development projects worth more than Rs 35,000 crore in Vadodara, Gujarat, today, September 8. "We are strengthening India's infrastructure to move people and goods faster, create new opportunities and power economic growth," the Prime Minister said. Addressing the gathering he said, "Today I have come among you to give further momentum to the journey of a Viksit Bharat.”
Outlining the Saptadhara (seven streams) resolution announced at the Red Fort, PM Modi emphasised the critical need for rapid connectivity through the Gati Shakti initiative, marking the historic completion of the 2800-kilometre Dedicated Freight Corridor. “The Dedicated Freight Corridor is the lifeline of a rapidly developing India," the PM said.
He praised Vadodara as the true city of Gati Shakti University where the final links of this massive project were connected.
"This historic task for 21st-century India has been accomplished,” PM Modi affirmed, elaborating "From chips to ships, India is now building a new manufacturing future".
