Police-Advocate tension continues

The tension between Police and advocates continued today, as both groups demonstrated their protests against each other, in their own ways.

Advocates under the banner of Bar Association conducted a ‘Sad-Buddhi’ yagya in front of collector’s office, whereas, retired former police officials presented a memorandum to all higher officials, including Divisional Commissioner, Collector, I.G. and ADM city.

Hundreds of advocates continued their protest over police lathi-charge on protesting advocates at Jaipur and blamed State government for being partial with their demands. The group conducted yagya in front of collectorate and displayed their objection.

On the other side, a group of retired police officials visited all top administrative officials and presented a memorandum to support police administration.

The memorandum says, “Government should not come under the pressure of associated groups and take action after doing profound enquiry and investigation.”

Ex-policemen say, such action against police discourage policemen and it will effect on the work.
