The atmosphere of MG College turned tensed when on Thursday morning, 2 groups of girls entered into a brawl and allegedly manhandled each other.

The atmosphere of MG College turned tensed when on Thursday morning, 2 groups of girls entered into a brawl and allegedly manhandled each other.

The matter ignited when a group of girls was protesting in front of the main gate to meet their demands under the leadership of president of the student union Payal. They were opposed by another group who were not in favor of the protest and were unhappy over locking of the college gates.

Few girls got angry and shouted at the group protesting. The scene turned abrupt where girls tried to manhandle each other. Soon a team of Hathipol police rushed to the scene and controlled the situation, informed police.

Payal, president of Students Union accused few members of National Students Union of India including Swati and Dipali for misbehaving with her and her accomplice. Sunita, Joint Secretary of Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad who intervened was also misbehaved by NSUI students. She collapsed, unconscious and was rushed to the hospital.

Payal informed that including herself many other students of ABVP held a protest for various demands. During this, they locked the doors of the college. The principal Dr. Milapchand Jain came to meet the girls and assured them to meet their demands as soon as possible.

To end the protest, they decided to unlock the gates, but before they could, the accused girls started shouting and disturbed the scene.

Payal said that they will lodge a complaint against the girls who allegedly misbehaved and manhandled them and demanded strict actions against them.
