As Udaipur ends its Containment zone classification on 29 May, the implementation of the Home Department and subsequent Collectors orders is assumed to take effect from 30 May.
The much awaited orders for opening up of the public parks for walking, jogging and exercise in the city are finally in place and the necessary orders have been given to the Secretray UIT and Mayor to prepare the public parks for opening. UdaipurTimes has confirmed with the senior officers of UIT and UMC that the orders have been received and will be implmented accordingly. The Collector has instructed both the UMC and UIT to prepare their plans accordingly and submit them at the earliest.
As per the information provided to Udaipur Times by senior officers of UIT and top executives at the UMC, Udaipur's classification as Containment Zone ends on 29 May. The orders from the district admininstration on curfew areas and containment areas is expected on 29 May. As such, the opening of public parks including Fateh Sagar and Sukhadia Circle is expected from 30 May.
The UMC and UIT will be responsible for implementing the protocols in each of the areas under their jurisdiction. These are social distancing and anti-infection dissemination protocols, which will need to be adhered to by the respective bodies and they will be responsible for the implementation of such.
