Rajasthan: Seva Setu Abhiyaan Extended Till Sept 28
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma urges effective implementation of Viksit Bharat–Jan Seva Abhiyaan
UdaipurTimes, Sept 23, 2026 - Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma chaired a high-level meeting on the Viksit Bharat–Jan Seva Abhiyaan on Tuesday, September 22, and directed officials to ensure that information about government schemes, public welfare programmes and citizen services reaches the last mile through the campaign. He also stressed on further strengthening public participation.
CM Sharma directed that the Seva Setu Abhiyaan in rural and urban areas be extended by three days and said the campaign will now continue till September 28.
In view of the upcoming festive season, the Chief Minister strictly told officials to ensure there is no negligence in the provision of basic facilities such as roads, healthcare, electricity and drinking water. Officials of the Medical and Health Department were asked to make necessary preparations for effective prevention and treatment of seasonal diseases and warned of strict action in case of any negligence.
The meeting was informed that 383 blood donation camps have been organised across the State under Viksit Bharat–Jan Seva Abhiyaan resulting in the collection of more than 15,000 units of blood. More than 37,000 online pledge forms have also been filled in the State, the highest number in the country.
Under the abhiyaan, 30 lakh families participated in the Aashirwad Ka Diya programme by lighting lamps. Under the Mere Sapno Ka Bharat–Chitraseva programme, 17,730 events were organised, with the participation of more than 13.40 lakh students and others.
Under the Seva Setu Abhiyaan, more than 2.25 lakh people took part in 660 camps, while more than 18.55 lakh participated in 20,406 events organised so far under the Namo Seva–Ankahi Kahaniyan programme.
Across Rajasthan, 12 major programmes are being organised under the Viksit Bharat–Jan Seva Abhiyaan. Apart from those mentioned above, the others are Aangan Milan Seva, Seva Ki Kahani, Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra, Seva Mera Yogdan, Seva Setu Abhiyaan, Seva Ke Rang–Rashtra Ke Sang, Seva First Innovation Challenge and Sushasan Seva Samvad.
