On the Occasion of International Day of People with Disability, a rally by Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan was carried out in the city. Commencing from the Collectorate’s office, it covered the main areas of the city and ended at Chetak circle. The District Collector Ashutosh Pednekar flagged off the rally. Various students of schools, guides, scouts and special kids participated in the rally. The main aim was to raise awareness among the people with disability about various facilities and benefits that are provided by the government for them. Other programs are also conducted to commemorate the day; rally being one of them.
