As part of an annual activity of RAF (Rapid Action Force), a route march was conducted today through various localities which fall under Surajpol Police Station.

Troop of nearly 30 cadets marched through Gulab Bagh, Sarv Ritu Villas, Kalaji Goraji marg, Khanji peer, Patel Circle and other residential colonies in the locale.

The particular area was considered for the march because it is densely populated and one of the most sensitive zones in the city. During the march, cadets took brief information of the residing population and other knowhow of the residential colonies.

According to RAF, similar activity is been carried out across the State where more than 250 police stations are being covered as per the history and sensitivity to riots of the residing population. A major reason behind the march is to prepare for any conditions prior to the upcoming elections.
