RBI Jaipur Receives Fake Notes from Udaipur, case registered

Twenty Three notes in denominations of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 were branded as fake by a Manager at Reserve Bank of India, Jaipur while he was in the process of receiving cash from the ‘Chest’ Branches of Udaipur. The Manager has registered a written complaint with the Superintendent of Police, Udaipur against an unidentified person.

According to the Surajpol Police Station, “We got the orders from the S.P office today morning to register a case against an unidentified person for depositing 23 fake currency notes out of which 15 were of Rs 500 denomination and 8 were of Rs 1000 denomination, and on these orders an FIR was lodged today morning at the Surajpol Police Station. Investigations have started since then.”

According to sources, yesterday on 5th June when the weekly collection amount was received by the RBI Jaipur from Udaipur it was discovered by the bank officials while counting, that few of the currency notes were fake. They immediately informed the Manager about the mishap.
