On Sunday, August 6, 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the development initiatives for Rana Pratap Nagar and Mavli Railway Stations in the district. The inauguration ceremony took place through a video conference at 11:00 am. Prior to the inauguration, various programs were conducted from 9:30 am, graced by the presence of both local officials and Prime Minister Modi.
The ambitious development project falls under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The plan encompasses two significant railway stations - Rana Pratap Nagar and Mavli Junction. A total of 20.86 Crore will be invested in the comprehensive development of Rana Pratap Nagar station, while Mavli Junction will undergo improvements at an estimated cost of 20.99 Crore. This initiative aims to enhance the infrastructure and overall experience for passengers at these stations, thus contributing to the advancement of railway services in the region.
MP Arjun Lal Meena, Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena, Salumbar MLA Amrit Lal Meena, Former MLA Nana lal Ahari, Chunnilal Garasia, Vandana Meena, BJP,and Mayor Govind Singh Tak were among the attendees at the function held at Udaipur's Rana Pratap Nagar Station. Also present were Deputy Mayor Paras Singhvi, Former Mayor Rajini Dangi, social worker Bhanwar Singh Panwar, Chief Project Manager Gati Shakti Ajmer Mandal Anoop Kumar Sharma, Senior Mandal Electrical Engineer BS Meena, and Senior Transport Instructor Hemant Upadhyay.
During the program, Mavli Station Master Sharad Purohit mentioned the presence of several distinguished individuals, including Chief Mamta Kunwar, Senior Divisional Engineer Priyanka Meena, Former Assembly Speaker Shantilal Chaplot, BJP Chandragupt Singh Chauhan, Vidhan Sabha In-charge Dinesh Kavadia, and former MLA Dalichand.
Member of Parliament Arjun Lal Meena emphasized that the Prime Minister's initiative aims to elevate the city station to world-class standards and transform Rana Pratap Nagar station into a model station. He highlighted that this effort will significantly benefit the local population. Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena expressed that the station, bearing the name of the unsung hero Maharana Pratap, will now join the league of 508 stations across India offering comprehensive amenities to the general public. They further articulated that the Amrit Bharat station redevelopment plans will bolster tourism, while the establishment of clean and modern railway stations will create job opportunities and contribute to the overall economic and social progress of the region.
