Superintendent of Police has agreed to the demands of Lohar Colony near Ayad for not constructing new entrance gate of Ayad Police Chowki which is adjacent to the colony and an open space area called Multani Chowk.

Residents of the area objected the new construction as it would disturb their daily life including community functions which is generally conducted at Multani Chowk.

According to the information given by a resident, currently the main gate of Ayad Police Chowki is on the north side, towards the main road. From past few days a new gate was planned to be installed on eastern side, just opposite to Multani Chowk.

Residents objected on the new construction saying that, the daily work of police chowki will disturb residents. Hence the new gate should not be installed.

Hearing the plea, S.P Ajaypal Singh Lamba inspected the situation and took decision in favour of the residents.
